Bluetooth Firmware Update Reminder

This is just a friendly reminder from, Bluetooth for helmet, that your Bluetooth device need firmware updates in the same way your computers and GPS units need updates.

Your Bluetooth device is the hub for all your helmet audio needs. When you pair a new input device (like a MP3 player or GPS unit), the technology may be more advanced than your existing Bluetooth headset causing problems. To get the two in sync you need to update the firmware/software on your existing Bluetooth unit.

Check your owners’ manual for your Bluetooth headset. If you cannot locate it, check online for a downloadable copy.

While you are at it, update the firmware/software on all your existing audio Helmet Bluetooth devices. This may fix any quirks that have been bothering you.

Easy Bluetooth Pairing

On a recent vacation to the Midwest, I left my cell phone on an airplane. Of course there are many consequences to content with; including replacing the phone and personalizing it.

I had forgotten how easy it is to pair my new phone to my Bluetooth headet. As a matter of fact, all I did was place my Bluetooth device next to the cell phone and turn it on. The automatic pairing feature completed the task in seconds.

It is that simple, but when pairing more than one device to your Bluetooth, you need a little preparation to set the priority for each device. Bluetoothforhelmet.com has a free Printable Bluetooth Helmet Pairing Worksheet to help you. For more information about prioritizing your Bluetooth, go to Bluetooth for helmet.

Bicycle Helmet Speaker Safety

I have seen many forum discussions on the need, want and safety of bicycle helmet speakers. Forum participants are generally against the use of Bluetooth helmet speakers because they believe in the whole biker communing with nature experience or they believe helmet speakers are not safe.

The one with nature view point is a personal choice and I have no comment on that, but as to the safety issue; I have written an ezine article where I have gathered a few interesting facts. To view this article go to: Are Bicycle Helmet Speakers a Cause for Safety Concerns?

Bottom line, a Bluetooth helmet can be dangerous if used improperly. As of this writing, 11 US states have restricted the use of motorcycle helmet speakers but no state has addresses the issue of bicycle helmet speakers. Whether on a bicycle, ATV or motorcycle, use common sense when you don a Bluetooth helmet.

GO HandsFree with your New Apple iPhone 4

Your new Apple iPhone 4 is Bluetooth ready right out of the box. This means that with the right Bluetooth headset you can talk “handsfree” on your new iPhone 4. This is great for us multitaskers that like to drive and talk.

Now that your cruising down the road talking with your friends and family, how about communicating with your car GPS system for “handsfree” GPS navigation. Hey all you need is a GPS for cars that is Bluetooth compatible. Now your talking and on “auto” pilot.

If you’re the 2 wheeling kinda guy or gal, make that “handsfree” headset a motorcycle headset or a Bluetooth helmet. Get yourself a nice Garmin motorcycle mount for your GPS and you have the same cruising and talking and “auto” pilot thing going on as your 4 wheel buddies. Speaking of 4 wheels, this setup works off road for ATVs and snowmobiles.

The cool thing about a motorcycle headset or Bluetooth helmet is that you can add an MP3 player for your favorite tunes and/or a motorcycle intercom to communicate with your passenger or nearby bike. Using Bluetooth technology, all these devices are connected WIRELESSLY.

Bluetooth devices for iPhone 4 from Amazon

Bottom line; The Apple iPhone 4 is newest best wireless phone to-date. Get the most out of it by going “handsfree” with Bluetooth technology.

His and Hers Bluetooth Helmets for Valentine’s Day

A Bluetooth Motorcycle Intercom. What a great idea for your Valentine!

A pair of matching Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmets make a great Valentine’s Day gift for any avid biking couple. Bluetooth helmets show your lover that you not only care about your lover’s wellbeing; but, you want to be close to them while you ride.

When selecting a pair of Bluetooth helmets or a Bluetooth motorcycle Intercom, be sure to consider the range of the device. A short range motorcycle headset is okay for rider-to-passenger communications but you will want a longer range Bluetooth Intercom for bike-to-bike communications.

Consider: When riding alone you will want great sounding helmet speakers for your MP3 player as well.

Bluetooth for Helmet can point out the available options to you and select the best setup for your needs.

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
